There is no lighting on this guy, he's at 100% illumination with just the diffuse map, all hand painted. I hope you don't mind the mirrored textures, the final version won't have so much mirroring. No back images yet, they're mostly blocked by the backpack and tail anyways. This was my first time trying to do a furry character and I think it turned out alright so far. Obviously some areas are still unfinished and there's still a lot of details and tightening up I plan to do on the textures, so uhm... stay tuned. I guess.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Oh, and I figured out what kind of weapon I want for this character as represented in the little pencil doodle. It's basically a ball and paddle that can be sheathed. The concept is that he can smack the ball to attack enemies, or twirl to do sweeping attacks or even wrap and hold enemies with the weapon. There's also a possibility for ricochets maybe. So far for this character I've done a quick sketch and paint over to block out the color scheme... sorta. He's a cutesy hero type character that is forced into a crazy adventure. (or something is less lame sounding).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm still unsure about his weapon. The big sword thing has been done and it probably wouldn't fit the cutesy character. I was thinking it would be a whip type weapon attached to his hilt, with maybe something on the tip to both capture or smack things. I like the look of the sheathed weapon but I'm not sure if it makes sense to sheath a whip even with something on the end... Oh well I'll think about it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Also I intend to put a tail on him. His overall body/fur patches were taken mostly from a Red Panda which also has a raccoon type tail which I want to put in on this character. Maybe a bit cliche but I love that stuff. The idea was that he would have many weapons, (in this case 4: 3 swords and a pistol) so that he would look cool doing moves during animation :). After striking his targets he would resheath his weapons so that he could choose another set depending on the situation. In a game the player could choose whatever sets of weapons he wants to enable different moves and combos. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Notes:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Design and Inspiration: Lot of anime inspiration for his overall look I suppose. The gun his uses is actually Vash's gun from Trigun more or less, and I got the idea for the leg strapped gun holster, leg chap type flaps, and knee high boots from an action figure my friend had of someone from the Gungrave anime. Some inspiration also came from the boots Rangers wore during WWII as seen in the movie Saving Private Ryan. Her overall look changed, it's now more modern as opposed to fantasy based. I'll post more later.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Currently this model is an anatomy study. I was just trying to get a soft female body look but still tried to keep the superficial forms there but really subtle. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;Things still to do: More neck muscle work. Detail in hands and feet. Ears, nose, lips, etc.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;Like my Soren character (see Textured Models), Kiran also has the title of Dreamcatcher because the idea somewhat developed from liking that title :p. In this case, Kiran is given the title of Dreamcatcher because she is a spirit hunter. Her job is to hunt down evil spirits that only a dreamcatcher can see. In my concept (see Concept Sketches) Kiran has bandages over one of her eyes, underneath them is the eye that can see spirits, it works only in the dark (thus the need for the bandages) and glows when she spots one. Might change around the color scheme and touch up some areas still... but I'll leave it be for now.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The original concept was that Stryde was supposed to be an armored mount. His hornless, relatively young, and thin body was supposed to make it ideal for him to be armored and used for transportation. Stryde has four wings, his two front wings on his upper body are for flying (gliding mostly) of course and the two back wings are also to assist in gliding but aren't really used to help him accend due to their limited range in movement and size. Because of the formation of this species' four wings, they have been given the nickname of the butterfly dragons. While walking on the ground the dragons walks much like a gorilla or baboon (with his knuckles rather than palm).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Notes:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;-Design and Inspiration: His overall body design and silhouette came from the shape of a thin dog (greyhound) which was supposed to give him an agile and speedy look. For his head shape I wanted a nice curved beak that helped to make a continuous curve that was pretty much unbroken from the back of the head to the tip of the mouth and ear flaps that extended out like another set of wings. Thinking back, the design was probably influenced subconsciously by the cool style of the chocobos from Final Fantasy. The overall concept was that Lucifer (lord of the underworld) has become incapacitated and as a result, all evil souls have begun to flee from their underground prison. It's up to Lucifer's son, Strife, and his closest friends Grim and Cerbie to prevent and recapture all the evil souls from escaping. This was my second crack at hand painted textures, trying to refine techniques and such. The overall style was meant to be similar to my Blood Angel character more or less :).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Notes:&lt;br /&gt;-This character is also rigged with an animation style rig with a few facial controls and stuff, check it out in the rig section!&lt;br /&gt;-Design and Inspiration: The concept was that this character was a young prodigy in her village. She became a very young 'dreamcatcher' which pretty much translates into an oracle who can see spirits. This model was relatively low poly (2000 quads or so). This was my first attempt at hand painted textures from scratch.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Notes:&lt;br /&gt;-For this character I didn't want a realistic look since I was doing hand painted textures.&lt;br /&gt;-Textures were heavily inspired by the World of Warcraft style.&lt;br /&gt;-Design and inspiration: Design stemed from wanting a hooded character which eventually evolved into an armored angel where I wanted the qualities of both angel and a grim reaper. Also the overall red scheme was to emphasis that she was a 'Blood Angel.'
